Kallander Woods

Kallander Woods consists of two hillside properties, one bordering Valley Road and one bordering Route 30,  containing 18.3 acres with a mature stand of hardwoods. The Valley Road parcel includes wetlands and a pool that provides a habitat for salamanders and frogs. In the fall of 2025,  Scout  LJ Rose built a 550-foot trail as an Eagle Scout Project, possibly the beginning of a trail system. The trail starts and ends on Valley Road, with a set of stairs at the southern end.

Visitors can access and explore the trail and the rest of the property off Valley Road. Valley Road is narrow, so care must be taken when parking not to block the road. It is better to park on Meadow Lane and walk down the road.
